Job summary

The East Coast luxury boutique waterfront resort and spa is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to join its executive leadership team. A strong HVAC knowledge is a requirement for this role and the position reports to the General Manager.

Responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance department, planning and managing the Engineering budget and capital projects, ensuring safety, asset protection, regulatory compliance, and coordinating with other hotel departments to maintain

• Complete oversight of the maintenance department
• Coach and support the engineering leadership team to effectively manage controllable expenses
• Hire, train, supervise, discipline and plan the activities of maintenance department personnel
• Plan and implement procedures, systems and controls to ensure an efficient maintenance department
• Ensure the effective preventive maintenance schedules are followed
• Create and track departmental goals
• Develop and manage Engineering budget
• Ensure effective communication and good relations between the Engineering Department and other departments in the hotel
• Perform any and all duties as assigned by the General Manager

Luxury boutique waterfront resort and spa on the East Coast is seeking an experienced, organized DOE to join their Executive leadership team. Strong HVAC knowledge is a requirement of this role.

SUMMARY

The Director of Engineering will have a high level of property maintenance knowledge. The

Director of Engineering will be responsible for maintaining the building and grounds with

particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Accountable for managing

budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation with an emphasis on maintaining corporate standards and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
