Job summary

Midas Hospitality is seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering department of our hotel and ensure safe, functional, and welcoming operations. You will manage preventative maintenance, oversee building systems, and guide engineering associates while controlling expenses and protecting hotel assets.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, leadership, and a proactive approach to maintain safety and guest satisfaction, including responding quickly to maintenance needs

Qualifications

• Experience leading hotel engineering or facilities maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building systems.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and CAPEX projects.
• Proven problem-solving and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and develop Engineering associates while promoting safety, accountability, and teamwork.
• Manage daily operations of the Engineering department, including work assignments and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term maintenance plans to protect hotel assets.
• Oversee preventative maintenance for guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel infrastructure (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment while ensuring brand standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to maximize guest satisfaction and room availability.
