Job summary

Midas Hospitality is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the hotel's Engineering department, ensuring safety, functionality, and guest comfort. This hands-on role oversees preventive maintenance, building systems, and asset protection while developing engineering associates.

You will manage daily operations, budgets, vendor relationships, and capital projects, promoting safety, teamwork, and high standards.

Qualifications

Experience in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance.
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
Experience managing maintenance programs, budgets, and capital projects.
Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and develop effective solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead, train, coach, and develop Engineering associates while promoting safety and teamwork.
Manage daily Engineering operations, work assignments, maintenance schedules, and priorities.
Develop short- and long-term maintenance plans to protect hotel assets.
Oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and life-safety systems.
Respond to maintenance requests promptly to maximize guest satisfaction and room availability.
Maintain life-safety systems and ensure OSHA and local codes compliance.
Manage budgets and capital projects; oversee vendor relationships and contractors.
Maintain organized engineering shops and storage areas.
