Job summary

Midas Hospitality, LLC is seeking a dependable Hotel Engineer / Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site operations team. This hands-on role maintains the property's systems, equipment, and guest rooms to deliver a safe, comfortable guest experience.

You will troubleshoot problems, perform repairs, and uphold high safety and quality standards throughout the hotel. The ideal candidate can diagnose issues efficiently, work with their hands, and thrive in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems and repair techniques.
• Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance according to hotel schedules and brand standards.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hotel equipment, guest rooms, and public areas.
• Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and mechanical repairs.
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests with professional service.
• Maintain appearance and functionality of guest rooms, hallways, meeting spaces, exterior areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment, boilers, HVAC systems, lighting, appliances, and building systems.
• Perform routine inspections and identify potential safety hazards or repair needs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, PM records, and equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines, safety procedures, and hotel standards.
• Operate and maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Support emergency situations and after-hours maintenance as required.
• Assist with snow removal, grounds, pool maintenance, or other exterior tasks as needed.
• Support additional projects and responsibilities assigned by hotel leadership.
