Job summary

Midas Hospitality is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering department of a hotel, ensuring safety, functionality, and appearance. The role manages preventative maintenance, builds associate teams, and protects hotel assets while controlling expenses.

The ideal candidate provides strong technical knowledge with leadership, and is committed to a safe, efficient guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience in maintenance/engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and systems maintenance.
• Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Engineering staff, promote safety and teamwork.
• Oversee daily operations, maintenance schedules, and priorities.
• Develop short- and long-term maintenance plans to protect assets.
• Supervise preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Inspect and repair hotel equipment; ensure brand/brand standards compliance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Monitor life safety systems and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Manage vendor relations and oversee contractors.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and inspections.
