Job summary

Dreamscape Hospitality in Houston, TX is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead catering and banquet sales for the hotel portfolio. You will work with the Director of Sales to secure new accounts, service client groups, and help achieve revenue and market share goals.

You should have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to negotiate and close deals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; sales experience preferred.
• Demonstrate creativity and knowledge of food and beverage desired.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Must possess developed verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate, convince, sell and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guest(s) and/or corporate clients.
• Experience with professional selling skills desired: opening, probing, supporting, closing.
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products.
• Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, strong organization and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Attain sales and revenue goals, including solicitation call targets.
• Proactively conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients for various segments.
• Grow relationships with assigned accounts in Leisure, SMERF, BT, and Groups, as applicable.
• Monitor and evaluate trends within the market segment.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Maintain familiarity with hotel operations and policies.
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as required by management.
