Job summary

Dreamscape Hospitality is seeking a Sales Manager to drive catering/banquet revenue for one or more properties. You will solicit and secure new accounts and service clients/groups, collaborating with the Director of Sales to meet hotel revenue and market share goals.

In this role, you will maintain strong local relationships, conduct sales calls and tours, and ensure compliance with catering standards. Overtime may apply for OEM associates as needed to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; previous Sales experience preferred.
• Demonstrate creativity and knowledge of food and beverage desired.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Must possess developed verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate, convince, sell and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guest(s) and/or corporate clients.
• Experience with professional selling skills desired: opening, probing, supporting, closing.
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products.
• Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, strong organization and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Attain assigned sales and revenue goals and solicitation call goals.
• Conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients for Social, Corporate, Business, or SMERF segments as applicable by property.
• Grow relationships with assigned accounts in Leisure, SMERF, BT, and/or Groups as applicable by property.
• Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
• Adhere to catering sales metrics and hotel policies.
• Develop knowledge of hotel operations and applicable departments.
• Maintain visibility in local community and industry organizations.
• Assist in promotions related to direct sales segments such as sales blitzes.
• Attend management meetings and perform other duties as required.
