Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking an Assistant General Manager for its Residence Inn Altamonte Springs property in Altamonte Springs, FL. The role focuses on driving profitability through revenue generation, cost control, and superior guest satisfaction while developing a high-performing team.

You will oversee daily operations, lead financial reviews, manage department heads, and ensure adherence to Highgate Hotel standards and SOPs.

Qualifications

• At least 5-6 years progressive experience in a hotel. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Maintain regular attendance and a warm, friendly demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

• Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including calling on top ten accounts, meeting clients, hosting luncheons and receptions, and meeting with on-site contacts daily.
• Tour operating departments daily and adjust as needed via department heads.
• Lead weekly staff meetings and training sessions and review sales and operations plans.
• Forecast monthly the hotel's financial position by estimating revenues and expenses and preparing reforecasts.
• Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required and develop managers for advancement through training programs.
