Job summary

Benjamin West is seeking a Project Manager (Purchasing) in the United States to plan, direct, and coordinate complex projects between staff and clients. You will manage budgets, schedules, and account objectives while driving supplier relationships and negotiations.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a focus on purchasing or design. Hospitality FF&E/OS&E exposure is a plus, and the role requires strong communication and multitasking abilities within a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience (minimum of three years).
• Experience in purchasing or design is a plus, but not required.
• Hospitality FF&E and/or OS&E knowledge is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate activities of designated project(s) between staff and clients to ensure budgets, schedules and objectives are met.
• Negotiate bids with vendors to identify advantageous pricing, quality, logistics and service.
• Educate clients on product suitability and deliver recommendations.
• Maintain favorable credit terms with suppliers on behalf of the client.
• Oversee data entry of specifications, RFQs, purchase orders and expediting.
• Monitor status reports and adjust schedules as needed; keep clients informed.
