Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to lead all housekeeping operations across the hotel's guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry, ensuring cleanliness and quality while supporting profitability. You will manage a team, schedule, train, monitor performance, coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance, and enforce safety standards.

A background in hotel housekeeping and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience in Supervisor or Manager role.
• Previous experience in a hotel preferred.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have basic mathematical skills.
• Must be able to apply basic principles and techniques of supervision.
• Ability to plan and organize the activities of others.
• Ability to get ideas accepted and to guide a group or individual to accomplish a task.
• Ability to modify leadership style and management approach to reach goal.
• Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications.
• Ability to effectively handle conflict in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure and maintain cleanliness, service and product quality standards are met for guest rooms, public space, offices, banquet/meeting/conference rooms.
• Lead, direct and administer all Housekeeping operations including budgeting and forecasting, inventory control, policy enforcement.
• Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, scheduling, coaching and recognition.
• Recruit, interview and train team members.
• Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies and labeling of hazardous materials.
• Create and post weekly schedules for Housekeeping and Laundry teams.
• Physically inspect rooms ready for guest check-in and update in the system.
• Assist with front office coordination to ensure guest room satisfaction.
• Oversee Laundry operations and maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure inventory is ordered and stored properly.
• Report and log Lost and Found items; manage storage security.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of public hotel areas.
• Ensure excellence in hotel and guest room cleanliness.
