Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems for hospitality events in Des Moines, IA. You will ensure guest satisfaction, coordinate with hotel staff, and troubleshoot equipment on-site.

This role requires 1 year of AV or hospitality experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training and certifications must be completed within 60 days of start date.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• External applicants must complete all trainings within 60 days.
• Internal applicants must meet training/certification requirements per program.
• 1 year customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year AV experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for roles operating company vehicles.
• DOT requirements may apply if applicable.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down basic audiovisual equipment for events.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain client relationships.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues efficiently.
• Manage equipment sheets and enter accurate job data.
• Coordinate with clients and vendors to finalize invoices.
• Utilize Navigator for order entries as needed.
