Job summary

Care New England is seeking a Telecommunications Operator to handle hospital telecom services including answering calls, operating the switchboard, and dispensing patient information. The role includes paging/beeper services and acting as back-up for the Info Desk Receptionist.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer calls on main line console.
• Alert appropriate personnel during emergencies.
• Maintain and operate switchboard equipment.
• Make announcements and pages using paging/beeper systems.
• Provide telecommunication support to hospital departments.
• Serve as back-up for Info Desk Receptionist.
• Protect patient and employee confidentiality.
• Perform other telecommunication tasks as requested.
