Job summary

Highpoint Health- Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a Switchboard Operator to manage hospital calls, paging, and disaster communications. You will handle in-house paging, update records, and ensure accurate message relays for patient care teams.

The role requires handling emergency calls, maintaining bulletin board information, and working under the Director of Health Information Management. Evening, night, and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with hospital switchboard or paging systems is preferred.
• Ability to handle emergency calls and forward messages accurately.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming calls to hospital extensions and patient rooms.
• Handle all paging and intercom requests, including emergency paging.
• Maintain disaster policies, bulletin board information, and updated employee records.
