Job summary

WellSpan Health in Union County is looking for a Telecommunications Operator to provide support through telephone and pager services. This role requires outstanding communication and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to perform duties across various shifts.

Responsibilities include managing incoming calls, assisting with emergency protocols and maintaining communication logs. A high school diploma or GED is required along with previous switchboard experience preferred. The position offers comprehensive health benefits and supports continuous employee development.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year relevant experience preferred.
• Previous switchboard experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
• Trains end users on basic phone features.
• Maintains logs of all emergency calls for nurse reporting.
• Responds to emergency calls such as heart arrests, trauma, and fire.
• Maintains on-call lists and contact persons in accordance with Hospital policy.
