Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Approximately six months switchboard and/or receptionist duties required.
• Verbal and written communication and typing skills needed.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to follow guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Answers queries and directs incoming and outgoing calls.
• Sends emergency and visitor information via intercom and pager.
• Accesses patient and doctor information per department policy.
• Records and reports troubles with visitors, patients and telephones to the proper authority.
• Keeps records and schedules for on-call doctors and pager coverage.
• Maintains current telephone lists and assists with outreach activities.
