Job summary

TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital seeks a part-time PBX Operator to manage the hospital switchboard and pager system, implementing emergency plans per policy. The role requires greeting callers, directing calls, and coordinating with hospital units to ensure exemplary customer service to staff, patients and visitors.

Responsibilities include EMTALA log entries, responding to assessments, and handling peripheral duties such as mail, meals and secure entries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PBX/Customer Service Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and direct all incoming calls to the appropriate party, in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate with Hospital units and staff during visitation times while providing excellent customer service to all employees, visitors, physicians, patients and referral sources.
• Coordinate with RESPOND on individuals presenting for assessments and entering information into the EMTALA log and on calls regarding potential concerns for customers waiting to be assessed and/or admitted.
• Assist in any possible way with customer/patient/family needs during phone call and visitation times as well as for those waiting to be seen by hospital staff for any reason.
• Coordinate with business office meal ticket monies, safe entries and removals, mail distribution, and vehicle sign ins/outs.
