Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Switchboard Operator for a part-time day shift. You will operate the hospital switchboard, directing all incoming and internal calls and providing telephone information services.

Effective communication and strong customer service skills are essential. Prior switchboard experience is desirable but not required, and participation in ongoing training is expected.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating switchboards highly desirable, but not required.
• Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Operates the switchboard and directs all incoming and internal calls.
• Provides telephone and general information services.
• Paging services as required and performs other duties as assigned to support hospital goals.
