McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Switchboard Operator to manage the hospital's telephone systems, PBX, and paging services. This role supports patient access and communications across departments, ensuring accurate message routing and timely responses.

Under supervision, you will handle emergency messages, assist with patient registration flow, and provide directions to patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates the computerized telephone and PBX switchboard.
• Operates electronic communication systems and hospital information systems.
• Receives and transmits emergency messages for staff and alarms.
• Operates overhead, voice, digital and paging systems.
• Reports irregularities in equipment operation.
• Performs various clerical duties.
• Gives directions and information to patients, visitors and staff.
• Assists in Patient Registration and directs patient/visitor flow.
