Encino Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to provide staffing and scheduling support across assigned departments. You will collaborate with the CNO and department leadership to create and revise schedules, ensuring posting deadlines are met according to hospital policy or the CBA.

You will forecast staffing needs and adjust daily staffing in real time to meet patient care demands, while coordinating with finance to manage agency personnel and invoices.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills required.
• Experience in healthcare preferred, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Provide staffing and scheduling support for assigned departments.
• Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Department Leadership to create and revise department schedules by matching needs to personnel available.
• Meet schedule posting deadlines according to Hospital policy or Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
• Schedule staff in the most productive and cost-effective manner, utilizing staffing strategies determined by the organization.
• Evaluate and revise daily staffing of departments including replacements due to PTO, sick leave, leave of absence, and other unexpected circumstances.
• Obtain daily staffing needs from assigned departments at regular intervals and adjust in real-time to flex, float, or fill gaps.
• Participate in Hospital position control meetings with C-Suite to review schedules and staffing reports.
• Forecast staffing needs so emergencies in staffing are avoided.
