Job summary

Centinela Hospital Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to support staffing and scheduling across departments. Working with the CNO and department leaders, you will help create and revise schedules, meet posting deadlines, and align staffing with patient needs while optimizing costs.

You will review agency requests, update orders in the Vendor Management System, ensure compliance files, and assist with invoice reconciliation with Finance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, preferably in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling support for assigned departments in collaboration with the CNO and leadership; create/revise department schedules and meet posting deadlines.
• Schedule staff in a productive and cost-efficient manner; adjust staffing in real time for PTO, sick leave, or unplanned absences; participate in position control meetings.
• Review and approve supplemental agency personnel; manage VMS orders; ensure compliance files and reconcile agency invoices with Finance.
