Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a staff member to perform hospital-based scheduling and pre-registration in a centralized call center. You will collect patient demographics, verify insurance eligibility, and provide prep instructions and arrival directions to ensure smooth visits.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, adherence to scripting, and use of Epic for registrations. Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to handle multiple computer programs are required within the first year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• Typing speed of 35 w.p.m.
• Experience in fast paced, customer-focused environment; ability to operate multiple computer applications.
• Medical terminology knowledge within first year of employment if not already taken.

Responsibilities

• Follows regulatory and departmental policies/protocols for data collection, patient safety and pre-service collections.
• Follows scripting including using AIDET+P, anticipates customer needs, problem-solving and positive interactions with customers and peers.
• Meets departmental targets for accuracy and avoiding critical errors.
• Meets departmental targets for handling inbound/outbound calls, Ready status, registrations per hour and Epic workqueue assignments.
