Job summary

University Hospitals in Ohio seeks a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet patients, check them in and out for visits, and guide them through the scheduling process.

Qualifications

High School GED or equivalent is required.
Associate degree progress toward degree is preferred.
Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome and check patients in and out for visits.
Answer calls for questions, scheduling, and next steps in care.
Assist patients with enrolling in and using MyChart.
Enter, review, and update patient demographics, insurance, and financial information.
Communicate details with physicians and care teams to support coordinated care.
Process patient payments including copays, deductibles, and balances.
Work in EPIC including workqueues and in‑basket messaging.
Schedule referrals and follow‑ups.
Help patients complete required forms and paperwork.
