Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Boston is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with unit dose distribution, restocking ADSs, and collaboration with pharmacists and nursing staff to ensure timely medication preparation and delivery.

You will prepare and repack medications, deliver medications including controlled substances, and comply with DEA/DPH regulations. MA license and CPhT required within 60 days, strong computer skills, and hospital/retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license or trainee license required.
CPhT certification required within 60 days of hire.
Maintain registration with the MA Board of Registration of Pharmacy.
0-2 years related experience.
Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

Restocks automated dispensing machines (ADSs) and floor stock medications.
Delivers medications in compliance with all DEA, DPH & State Board regulations.
Prepares and delivers IV medications per USP 797/USP 800; maintains records.
Compounds non-sterile products and repackages bulk supplies in unit of use packaging.
Checks for expired medications and disposes of them per regulations.
Participates in training and mentorship of students and technicians.
