Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. The role covers unit dose distribution, IV medication prep, and collaboration with pharmacists and nursing staff to ensure timely delivery in compliance with DEA, DPH and USP standards.

Candidates must have MA Pharmacy Technician license, CPhT or ExCPT certification within 60 days, and 1–3 years of experience; proficiency with MS Office and hospital computer systems is required.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license required.
• CPhT or ExCPT certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
• 1–3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Restocks automated dispensing machines (ADSs) and floor stock medications; follow Epic workflows.
• Delivers medications in compliance with DEA, DPH and State Board regulations.
• Prepares and delivers IV medications per USP 797/800; maintains relevant records.
• Compounds non-sterile products and repackages bulk supplies per USP 795/800 standards.
• Checks for expired/damaged medications and disposes of them per regulations.
• Mentors students and technicians; participates in ongoing training.
