The role involves collaborating with pharmacists and nursing staff and preparing IV admixtures per USP standards.

Candidates need a MA Pharmacy Technician license or trainee status, CPhT certification within 60 days, and 0-2 years of related experience.

Formación

High School diploma or GED required.
Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacist Trainee license required.
CPhT certification via PTCB or ExCPT required within 60 days of hire.
Maintaining MA Board registration and fees.
0-2 years related work experience required.
Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsabilidades

Restocks automated dispensing machines (ADSs) and floor stock medications.
Delivers medications in compliance with DEA, DPH & State Board regulations.
Prepares and delivers IV meds per USP 797 & USP 800 standards; maintains IV records.
Compounds non-sterile products and repackages bulk medications in unit of use packaging per USP 795 & USP 800.
Checks for expired medications and disposes of expired/damaged meds per regulations.
Mentors students and pharmacy technicians; participates in ongoing training.
