Job summary

Qualifications

Must be able to read, write and understand English at required level.
Must have passed Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration exam and maintain license.
PTCB certification within 2 testing cycles of starting job.
Must know basic IV admixture processes and sterile procedures.
Good math, computer and communication skills.
Understanding of medication names, dosing, sig codes, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation of irrigation, IV admixture solutions using aseptic technique.
FIll unit dose, ADM and stock requisitions; maintain inventory in OR, Endo & OB.
Deliver unit dose, ADM refills, IV solutions and supplies to nursing units.
Follows safety and cleanliness standards; able to stand/walk for shift.
Label medications; assist pharmacist with final checks.
Prepare pre-packaged medications and manage supply inventories.
Receive and shelve supplies and medications; perform cycle counts and monthly stock reviews.
