Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support unit dose distribution, IV preparation, and patient care across hospital pharmacies in Massachusetts. You will work with pharmacists and nurses to ensure timely medication delivery and compliance with regulations.

The role requires MA license, CPhT within 60 days of hire, 1–3 years of experience, and proficiency with Epic workflows and MS Office. Join us to contribute to safe, efficient patient care and staff mentorship.

Qualifications

Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license required.
CPhT certification required within 60 days of hire.
Must remain in good standing with MA Board of Registration in Pharmacy (including fees).
1–3 years related work experience required.
Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

Restocks automated dispensing machines (ADSs) and floor stock medications per Epic workflows.
Delivers all medications in compliance with DEA, DPH & State Board regulations.
Prepares and delivers IV medications following USP 797/800; maintains records for IV admixtures and sterile areas.
Compounds non-sterile products and repackages bulk supplies per USP 795 & 800.
Checks for expired/damaged medications and disposes per regulations.
Participates in training and mentorship of students and technicians.
Prepares specialized sterile/non-sterile products including TPNs and chemotherapy per USP standards.
Suggests workflow efficiencies with Lead Technicians to implement new practices.
Maintains staffing in multiple areas of the pharmacy.
