Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital in Long Island seeks a Customer Services Associate to assist visitors at the main entrances, providing information and directions to patients and facilities. You will accompany patients and visitors, transport patients by wheelchair for discharge, and help screen visitors.

Strong communication, ability to work under pressure, and basic computer skills are required; prior hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, equivalent, or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of departmental policies/procedures preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing and able to work in a stressful environment.
• Prior hospital experience preferred; dealing with the public preferred.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and assist with transporting patients as needed.
• Basic computer skills.
• BLS American Heart Association - BLS for Healthcare Providers
