Job summary

OSS Health is seeking a friendly, professional Greeter to welcome patients and visitors at the main entrance and guide them to the right care areas. You will support the emergency response dispatcher role and coordinate with the Patient Access team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and prior medical reception or customer service experience. Duties include EMR processing, phone operations, and occasional after-hours coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be personable and friendly and able to work as a team member.
• Must work efficiently in a high-volume practice.
• Proficient with computers and telephone systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in medical reception or customer service preferred.
• Must identify and solve problems and maintain confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented with accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, family members and visitors at the main entrance.
• Answers incoming calls and transfers as needed.
• Initiates emergency operations and follows hospital policies.
• Knows OSS Health services to direct patients appropriately.
• Receives patient forms and processes electronically via EMR.
• Prints census reports for physician visits and schedules.
• Participates in staff meetings and handles duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
