Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Spec Patient Access role to perform admitting duties for patients across services, ensuring accurate MRNs, insurance data, and compliance checks. You will handle patient instructions and coordinate with physicians to process orders while delivering compassionate service.

The role requires 1-2 years of patient access experience; familiarity with medical terminology and CPT codes is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of patient access experience highly preferred.
• Medical terminology or CPT codes - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients for services and verify demographics and insurance information with accuracy.
• Process physician orders and use overlay tools while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Explain consent forms and obtain signatures; provide patient education documents.
