Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Groundskeeping technician in Wisconsin to perform facility and equipment maintenance, including HVAC and hospital equipment, while documenting activities in CMMS. The role requires a driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED, with less than 2 years’ experience in equipment maintenance.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday with some after-hours for snow removal. Eligible benefits include health coverage, PTO, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills such as CMMS, building automation system, and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance per codes and standards; documents in CMMS.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, doors, fans, boilers, etc.).
• Maintains patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables, etc.).
• Maintains mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, refrigeration, water systems, etc.).
• Performs general maintenance in grounds, carpentry, painting, and snow removal.
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, fires, equipment failures).
• Bends, lifts, and moves as required; communicates status to requesters.
• Reads blueprints and maintenance manuals to perform tasks.
• Ensures safety standards and proper operation of building systems.
