Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Groundskeeping technician for the Aurora Psychiatric Hospital campus in New York. The role involves maintenance of facilities and equipment, documentation in CMMS, and routine repairs under guidance.

Off-hours may be required for snow removal, with a 7am–3:30pm schedule and a driver’s license needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma and less than 2 years of related maintenance experience, plus basic computer and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with codes and standards.
• Documents through the CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, etc.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair patient care equipment such as beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables.
• Maintain mechanical/electrical systems within procedures with guidance.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents as directed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks.
