Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with codes and standards; documents in CMMS.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, and controls within defined parameters.
• Maintains and repairs patient care equipment such as beds, wheelchairs, and carts.
• Maintains mechanical/electrical systems including HVAC, refrigerators, ice machines, and medical gas systems with guidance.
• Performs general maintenance in grounds, carpentry, painting, and snow removal.
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, equipment failures) per plan.
• Responds to building occupant requests; performs zone maintenance rounding; communicates status of actions.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and equipment safety checks.
• Inspects and repairs fire doors, hardware, firewalls, and smoke partitions.
• Reads blueprints and manuals to complete assignments.
