Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to perform facility and equipment maintenance and to document work in CMMS. The role requires handling mechanical and patient care equipment, HVAC systems, and related infrastructure, with on-call rotations and emergency responses.

A driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are required; 2–4 years of maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Basic computer skills (CMMS, building automation, MS Office).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with codes and standards; documents via CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, heat exchangers, controls).
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, piping, gas systems, refrigeration, kitchen equipment).
• Respond to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, equipment failures).
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks; read blueprints and manuals.
