Job summary

Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a part-time cook to prepare meals for patients, staff, and visitors in a hospital kitchen. You will follow established recipes, manage food production, and supervise team members to ensure timely service and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and 2–3 years of institutional cooking experience. Expect a rotating shift and access to a full benefits package including medical/dental/vision and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred plus basic math skills.
• Two to three years of institutional food production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and production schedules to plan meat, vegetables, soups, and salads.
• Measure, weigh, and combine ingredients following recipes.
• Prepare items in a timely manner for meals and ensure advanced prep where needed.
• Monitor inventory and adjust production to avoid shortages or waste.
• Supervise Food Service Worker and oversee meals to standards.
• Maintain clean, sanitary production areas and proper food storage.
