Job summary

Advocate Trinity Hospital is seeking a Visitor Services Associate to warmly welcome guests, assess needs, and direct them to the appropriate areas in the Main Lobby.

This role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of hospital customer service experience, strong communication, and basic computer/telecom skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus. You will coordinate information with departments and assist with transportation while upholding guest services standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years hospital customer service experience or 2 years of comparable customer service experience.
• Some knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Computer, basic keyboard, and telecommunication systems experience.
• Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests, associates and partners to hospital Main Lobby.
• Assesses guest needs and arranges transportation as needed.
• Answers questions and solves problems for guests with or without manager assistance.
• Directs patients, family, visitors to appropriate areas per visitation policy.
• Coordinates information needs with various hospital departments and external services.
• Provides escort services and transports papers, supplies, or information as directed.
• Maintains guest services standards and provides exceptional customer service.
• Retains lost belongings and coordinates pickup; oversees volunteer activities.
