Job summary

Mercy Fort Smith is seeking a Facility Systems Tech I to operate, maintain, and repair complex building systems—boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical distribution, plumbing—along with movable equipment and spaces. The role offers minimal supervision and supports hospitals and clinics to maintain a safe Environment of Care.

Responsibilities include ensuring reliability, prioritizing tasks, and delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required for all Mercy locations.
• Boiler license requirements and licensure within specified timeframes.
• Tank Operator Certification within 90 days.
• EPA Universal Certification within 12 months.
• Fire door and UL fire stop training within 90 days.
• Progression to Facility Systems Technician III requires competency exam.
• 1–3 years of commercial HVAC, boiler, and refrigeration experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair electrical/plumbing systems and related equipment.
• Support hospitals and clinics in Mercy Fort Smith network.
• Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication.
• Prioritize work and manage time/materials efficiently.
• Adhere to safety standards and training requirements.
