Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform facility and equipment maintenance at the AMG Clinic in Algonquin, IL. This is a full-time, first-shift role (Mon-Fri, 7:00 am–3:30 pm) focused on keeping systems reliable and compliant.

You will document work in CMMS, troubleshoot mechanical and patient care equipment, conduct preventive maintenance, and respond to emergencies. A high school diploma or GED, 2–4 years of maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Proficient with CMMS documentation.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance following codes and standards.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, and boilers.
• Maintains patient care equipment such as beds and wheelchairs.
• Maintains mechanical/electrical systems including HVAC and electrical, within defined parameters.
• Performs routine maintenance in grounds, carpentry, painting, and snow removal.
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, etc.).
• Responds to building occupant requests; conducts preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Reads blueprints and maintenance manuals.
