Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for the Chicagoland area Non-Acute clinics. This full-time role, on first shift, includes on-call requirements and daily site-to-site travel.

The incumbent will perform facility and equipment maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems, inspect life-safety components, and use CMMS for documentation. Requires 4+ years in equipment maintenance and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Driver's license required.
• Ability to read blueprints and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance and documents in CMMS.
• Troubleshoots mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors and boilers with minimal guidance.
• Maintains patient care equipment where applicable.
• Maintains HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration and electrical systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, outages, fires, equipment failures).
• Sends timely updates to occupants and tracks service requests.
• Reads blueprints and manuals to complete assignments.
