Advocate Health Care's Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago seeks a Maintenance Technician I to perform facility and equipment maintenance, read blueprints, and document work in CMMS. This is a full-time, 1st shift role with Sunday-Thursday hours.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a driver's license, and less than 2 years in equipment maintenance. Strong basic computer skills, good communication, and safety awareness are required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills including CMMS, building automation systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience or exposure to facility maintenance desired.

Responsabilités

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance and documents in CMMS.
• Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, boilers and controls.
• Maintains patient care equipment such as beds and carts where not handled by other departments.
• Maintains electrical and mechanical systems including pneumatic tube, HVAC, refrigerators/freezers, ice machines and piping systems.
• Performs routine general maintenance in grounds, carpentry, painting, and snow removal.
• Responds to emergencies and completes repairs as directed (leaks, floods, power outages, etc.).
• Responds to occupant requests; conducts zone maintenance rounds and informs requesters of status.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Inspects blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete assignments.
