Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for Advocates Medical Group AMG Clinic in Algonquin, IL. The role is full-time, 1st shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 40-hour schedule.

Responsibilities include facility and equipment maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and completing preventive maintenance. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years of maintenance experience; driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (CMMS, building automation system, MS Office).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in facility maintenance and equipment troubleshooting is expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance according to codes and standards.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, controls).
• Maintains patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Maintains mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, refrigerators, electrical, plumbing, gas systems).
• Performs routine to moderately complex general maintenance (grounds, carpentry, painting, snow removal).
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, outages, fires, outages) as directed.
• Responds to occupant requests; performs zone maintenance rounding; communicates status.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and equipment safety checks.
• Inspects and repairs fire doors and related systems; reads blueprints and manuals.
