Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the AMG Clinic in Algonquin, IL. This full-time, first-shift role (7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Mon–Fri) focuses on facility and equipment maintenance, with duties documented in CMMS and adherence to codes and standards.

You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, patient care equipment, and building services, participate in preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and read blueprints to perform assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Basic computer skills including CMMS and building automation; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility and equipment maintenance per codes and standards.
• Document work in CMMS.
• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, boilers, etc.).
• Maintain patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Repair mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, gas).
• Respond to emergencies and routine maintenance tasks; read blueprints.
