Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in painting industry.
• Ability to stand/walk for an entire 7.5 hour shift.
• Knowledge of painting tools, techniques, paints and painting products used in the trade and the ability to correctly use them.
• Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and material.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work requests and communicate progress with supervisor.
• Prepare surfaces for painting, masking, and protection of adjacent areas.
• Apply coats of paint, varnish, or enamel using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Coordinate with outside contractor and facility personnel for area painting.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization of work areas.
• Complete daily time reports and document work orders.
