Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Stand/walk for a 7.5 hour shift.
• Lift heavy objects and materials.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Minimum 3 years experience in general maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Strong communication to maintain logs and time reports.

Responsibilities

• Follow manufacturers' repair instructions and repair equipment using hand/power tools.
• Repair broken or malfunctioning furniture and non-clinical equipment.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and facility personnel for repairs.
• Respond to service calls and complete paperwork upon job completion.
• Maintain equipment and report damaged items.
• Ensure a safe work environment and clean up after jobs.
• Perform minor electrical/plumbing/painting/carpentry repairs as needed.
• Inspect building components and preventative maintenance program compliance.
• Document deficiencies requiring follow-up.
