Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Supervisor, Maintenance - Facilities Engineering to lead the off-shift engineering team, oversee plant operations and repairs across the facility. You will coordinate room renovations with Bedboard and Environmental Services, manage work orders and PMs, and report progress to management each night.

You will ensure life-safety compliance per NFPA 101 and collaborate with Nursing, Environmental Services and Bed Board to maintain readiness and room

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years experience in construction, Facilities Management or related fields.
• Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, leadership skills.
• Ability to read and follow technical documents, manuals, drawings, schematics, specifications and blueprints.
• Knowledge of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code and related hospital regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees in plant operations, maintenance and repairs.
• Oversees renovations and repairs off-shift or evening shifts.
• Manages work orders distribution and ensures PMs and tasks are completed.
• Coordinates room renovations and coordinates with departments for room availability and completion.
• Supports hospital snow removal efforts and coordinates with union staff.
• Ensures NFPA 101 Life Safety Code deficiencies are addressed.
