Guidehouse is seeking an Admitting Representative to manage the hospital's main switchboard, handling inbound and outbound calls, directing visitors, and assisting with patient registrations. The role requires strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The position offers patient-focused service, collaboration with clinical staff, and a schedule with evening shifts and weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• 1 year of experience in Customer Service, Call Center, and/or Healthcare.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound/outbound calls on the main switchboard/PBX.
• Answer basic questions about hours, directions, contacts.
• Coordinate emergency codes and disaster procedures.
• Monitor and update patient status in the EMR.
• Assist with patient registrations.
• Use overhead paging to locate staff.
• Mentor new associates and assist in orientation.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, sound judgment, and problem solving.
• Work independently and manage time and tasks.
• Be team oriented, open-minded, flexible and eager to learn.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Exhibit excellent communication and customer service.
