Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Telecommunication Operator to operate the ISDN-CENTREX console and handle main hospital calls, routing to extensions and providing numbers.

You will log calls, manage patient information on authorization forms, monitor alarms and emergency codes, and support routine clerical duties. Excellent communication and basic computer skills are required; prior clerical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some computer and administrative experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate Telephone console and route calls to extensions, providing numbers as required.
• Log calls, maintain patient information, and manage logs and records.
• Handle emergency communications, paging, and notifications as needed.
