Job summary

Livingston Regional Hospital, part of the ScionHealth network, is seeking a PBX Operator to manage all calls and operate the hospital paging system in a courteous, professional manner. You will direct calls to departments, transfer inquiries, and serve as an information resource for patients, visitors and staff, while maintaining confidentiality and supporting emergency paging procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
• Direct calls to appropriate departments or personnel.
• Accurately transfer calls and handle inquiries.
• Serve as information center for callers and internal guests.
• Operate the hospital paging system, including emergencies.
• Execute emergency paging procedures for codes and disasters.
• Sanitize and maintain PBX equipment and workspace.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform additional clerical tasks as assigned.
