Responsibilities

• Train new hires to work shifts independently.
• Answer calls promptly and route to appropriate area.
• Page codes and announcements over PA system.
• Direct patients and visitors to proper areas.
• Provide patient information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Implement emergency procedures for hospital.
• Support Mail Services when staffing is short.
• Night shift: verify patient discharge for Mail Services.
• Assigned Communications Rep trained for Mail Services backup.
