Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Telecommunications Operator to manage high-volume calls, pages, and emergency announcements across the hospital. You will coordinate with on-call teams, handle language interpretation requests, and maintain paging systems and alarm notifications in line with site protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and preferred experience in hospital telecommunications or medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior telecommunications, medical terminology, hospital medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route calls promptly and courteously, including patient information handling.
• Coordinate on-call teams and document calls and outcomes according to site protocol.
• Monitor alarms and emergency communications; notify appropriate personnel.
• Assist with directory updates and orders for language line requests when needed.
